What is Enobosarm?
Enobosarm, also known as Ostarine or MK-2866, is a selective androgen receptor modulator being researched by GTx, Inc. to treat muscle wasting and osteoporosis. It was previously under development by Merck & Company.
How does it work?
Ostarine binds to androgen receptor proteins in the body. When Ostarine attaches to these receptors, it signals the body’s muscles to develop. In comparison to other compounds that bind to androgen receptors, such as steroids, Ostarine, MK-2866 does not appear to have as many adverse effects in different regions of the body.
