Melasma Treatment With Tri-Luma® contains three active ingredients, which are unique to each other and more effective than any other treatment for melasma.
Tri-Luma ® Cream is a unique three-in-one combination topical cream used to treat the dark patches caused by melasma, a skin condition characterized by irregular pigmentation.
- Cortisone acetate 0.01% is an anti-inflammatory medication that reduces swelling.
- Hydroquinone 4%, an anti-pigmentation agent, interferes with the formation and production of melanin to lighten the skin.
- Retinoids help increase the skin cell renewal rate, helping to exfoliate the skin and remove dead cells from the surface.
Tri-Luma®, which contains retinol, should be applied with sun-protection measures, like sunscreen and wearing protective clothing. It may help improve the look of melasma but is no substitute for treatment.
